On your mark, get set, GO!

I am a 22 year old bartender. Do I drink? of course! Do I overly drink? not even close! What is my drink of choice? ANYTHING fruity, frozen, girly, frou-frou, or anything that does not taste remotely like alcohol. So what is the issue? MONEY! I am not just a 22 year old bartender, but I am also a 22 year old junior in college. In other words, I'm broke, only 99% of the time. The other problem? When guests come up to the bar and inquire about the varieties of beer that my company offers, a dazed and confused look comes over me, and finally I reply, "hang on, let me get the other bartender." ...yea, it is sad. So, I have found a solution to my problems, I must love beer. That may sound ridiculous, but think about it for a moment. A good cosmpolitan, or even better a belini martini can cost 8 dollars or more, easily. However, beer is usually significantly cheaper, and maybe establishments offer 2 for 1 deals. Also, if I could acquire a love for beer, I could save even more money by just going to ABC and buying a case or beer and staying home. One might say, but you can make your frou-frou frilly drinks at home too! Ah, yes! BUT, they never taste the same, and bottles of liquor are pricey. Thus, I begin my adventure, or better yet, my quest(!) to acquire the love of beer. I will first start with something easy such as ciders or fruity beers and my hope is to make it all the way to the infamous stout. Along the way, I will be researching the history and different varieties of beer, offering background information, my weekly experiences, and of course my own personal reviews of popular and not so popular beer selections. Hopefully, this will work out, and then maybe after all is said and done, i will have one less reason to become dazed and confused, because believe me, I get dazed and confused entirely too often!
